Episode Transcript
Speaker 0 00:00:00 This camera.
Speaker 1 00:00:05 Good morning, Fort McMurray, wood, Buffalo, and the rest of the world. My name is Elliot Pierre. You're tuning into the Mac city morning show. We're going to start this off the same way we start every shell show off. Thank you very much for tuning in today from the bottom of my heart. I really do appreciate it. I can't believe how many of you guys are spending your time with us. And I know you could spend it so many other ways. So it does warm my heart on that note. Tanner hit him with the intro.
Speaker 0 00:00:31 <inaudible>
Speaker 1 00:00:40 All right. And we're back. So I gotta be honest. I'm really looking forward to this show. These are my favorite episodes. It's just going to be me and Tanner here today. So Tanner is going to pull, open his phone. He's going to see all the comments that are coming in. So hit us up with some comments. Um, we had a guest lined up today, but unfortunately, uh, last minute she had to cancel, uh, we wish her the best of luck. She will be showing up on the show later this week though. Uh, but this morning she was unable to make it, but you know what? That's okay. Because it's just going to be me and Tanner and boil. Boy, I think we got lots to talk about
Speaker 2 00:01:13 Tanner. I think we do. You had a big weekend.
Speaker 1 00:01:15 I did have a big weekend for everybody. Uh, looking on the set. We got some balloons there. Balloons from Tammy from supplement King dropped them off. It was my birthday on Thursday. Um, so yeah, I enjoyed the rest of the weekend. Uh, well, before the weekend started, uh, myself and Tanner, we stayed in this nice living room, uh, Thursday evening and we shared a drink or two or to some adult beverages were shared. It was a, it was a good night.
Speaker 2 00:01:42 It was a very fun night and a fun morning.
Speaker 1 00:01:44 Yeah. Well, yeah. I don't know. I was just going to ask you that now I went to bed extremely late that night. We're not going to go into when I went to bed, but, uh, I woke up the next morning. No problem was back here at the house. Nine o'clock. What time did you get up?
Speaker 2 00:02:02 I got up, uh, probably around the same time. Nine 30, 10. Wow. Look at us. So I don't, I don't sleep in when I drink. Here we go. I'm up earlier
Speaker 1 00:02:10 Because we partied into the am. The late am. Yeah. Good. I was wondering, I was like, I wonder how Tanner is fairing so good. So you kept up with, uh, we only had like two, two drinks, maybe, maybe three, maybe, maybe. So you kept up, you were able to hang and then you're able to function the next day
Speaker 2 00:02:27 Morning. Yo. Yeah. Very impressive. In between the house and the morning was a little bit rough. Cause like when my body decides to like shut down when I get home, you know, I know I'm home, I'm safe. My body's like, okay, we're good. But yeah, but being out that's easy. Okay.
Speaker 1 00:02:44 So now my question to you and I met, I changed up my, uh, my routine, the following day. What did you eat? What was your, I don't want to call it a hangover, but cause I wasn't hung over, but I have, when I drink, I have my meals. I like to eat the following and I, I changed up my order, but before we get into what I ate, let's let's talk about what you, uh, indulged in the next day. McDonald's McDonald's okay.
Speaker 2 00:03:08 I was blessed enough to go and get me McDonald's for lunch. It wasn't breakfast. I didn't eat breakfast, but it was a six piece with a large fries.
Speaker 1 00:03:17 Six piece nuggets? Yep. Okay. Yeah. Large fries, large Coke. All right. Now what was your dipping sauce? I don't do you don't dip straight up nugs straight on. Oh my gosh. Somebody got it. Write in and say that's weird. Somebody on the comment section please. Who does that? I've I'm sorry,
Speaker 2 00:03:37 But I believe food should be cooked. Well, before you eat it, you shouldn't have to add things on afterwards to increase the taste.
Speaker 1 00:03:45 You might be the first person ever that I've met, who doesn't have a dipping sauce for their nuggets? Nope. Wow. I don't like a lot of sauce based things. Okay. Interesting. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:03:58 Like I don't eat ketchup mustard relish. I don't do salad dressing. None of that.
Speaker 1 00:04:02 What about hotdogs? Jeez. Huh? Interesting. That is interesting. I, I agree with you on the salad. Most of the time, my salad is dry and people think I'm a weirdo. They put it on the side and they're like, Oh, are you on a diet? I'm just like, no, I really just don't want your dressing. Yeah, no. So chicken
Speaker 2 00:04:20 Caesar. That's where it's at. You get the flavor from the chicken.
Speaker 1 00:04:23 That's right. I I'm on board with that, but like nothing on hotdog. That's a SAC religious.
Speaker 2 00:04:29 I don't know. Like I believe that the meat should be cooked. Well, you get a good tasting meat. You don't need to add things to make it better.
Speaker 1 00:04:36 This is fair enough. Okay. I had hot dogs for my birthday dinner cause I'm a child. Yeah. Obviously
Speaker 2 00:04:42 I have tacos every year.
Speaker 1 00:04:43 So there you go. See, that's what you got to do. And you're like, Oh, do you want a fancy dinner? And I'm like, nah, I'll just have hot dogs please.
Speaker 2 00:04:48 Right. It would feel wrong if you didn't have your normal birthday meal. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:04:51 My kid loved it, but I switched up my order. And uh, cause usually like, as I don't want to give away my home address, but I'll give away some details. I live up in Timberly. So usually when I wake up, I'm going to say like, okay, I'll go to McDonald's and I'll get my standard McDonald's order of uh, 10 nuggets with sweet and sour dipping sauce followed by a double cheeseburger, made like a Mac with a large fries and Coke with ice to the top, but like just a spritz of Coke. So I can just get the Coke water. I dump out the Coke. How'd you? Uh, how'd
Speaker 2 00:05:26 You come across the cheeseburger made like a
Speaker 1 00:05:29 Big Mac. I, it was, uh, listen, it used to be a struggle for me in regards. So I was conflicted in what to order. Obviously the cheeseburgers are delicious. Obviously the big Macs are delicious. And so every time I went to McDonald's I said, okay, I'm getting these nuggets. But I was just like, ah, do I get the cheeseburger or do we get the big Mac? And then one day I'm hanging out with a buddy of mine and I'm conflicted with this order. And he's just like, dude, just get the double cheeseburger made like Mack and mind blown. I'm like, I didn't even know. That was a thing he's like, Oh yeah. East coast, even Ontario. It's like on the board, it's a menu item. So that happened about I'm going to say four years ago and I never looked back. So since then I haven't had a regular cheeseburger and, or a regular big Mac. I just throw that combo together.
Speaker 2 00:06:23 So I got a question for you then you've done a lot of traveling. Where's the best foreign McDonald's you've been to
Speaker 1 00:06:30 Hands down, hands down America. And it doesn't matter which America McDonald's you go to? That is when I mess up my order cheeseburgers out of America, I did a video a while back. I was in Vegas, literally right before we all got locked down. So it was February of last year. McDonald's cheeseburgers in America are straight up addictive. It's like crack. I can't stop.
Speaker 2 00:06:55 I don't know. Like I went to McDonald's in China and the McDonald's game in China is off the hook. Really? Yeah. Like it's it is, it's like a step above fast food. Like I wouldn't call it restaurant grade, but like we went down there and I had some spicy chicken fingers from McDonald's that I still think about. And I went in 2016, like phenomenal, like McDonald's and then they had ice cream there, this peach ice cream that I went on a school trip and the class was obsessed about every McDonald's we stopped. We all ordered that peach ice cream. I would fly back there today for it.
Speaker 1 00:07:38 Nice. All right. I think we need to book a trip to China as soon as we can fly again.
Speaker 2 00:07:44 I am I'm down to go back to China.
Speaker 1 00:07:45 Okay. Yeah. So yes, that's my order, but I didn't get that order on Friday. What did you get? Well, I was up here in Avocet cause I had to come into the office to do some work first thing in the morning. So I said, well, I'm not normally on this side of the bridge under these circumstances, let's go to burger King. And what did you get from burger King? I got the double bacon cheeseburger with a side order of poutine.
Speaker 2 00:08:12 How was the poutine? Oh,
Speaker 1 00:08:13 So good. It was exactly what I needed now. It was so good. It rivaled my normal McDonald's order. But burger King is just too far from me across that bridge. It just takes too much time.
Speaker 2 00:08:26 Yeah. I think we I'm surprised we don't have another burger King. We have multiples of everything, but what Wendy's
Speaker 1 00:08:32 We don't have a multiple Wendy's we only got one Wendy's and one burger and one burger King. And only recently did we expand to get a new dairy queen? Yes. Which I haven't been to the new dairy queen yet.
Speaker 2 00:08:45 I haven't either. I haven't either stay with the class.
Speaker 1 00:08:48 Yeah. Well for you it's on the other side of both or on the other side of the bridge.
Speaker 2 00:08:52 Yeah. Yeah. I usually for ice cream and go to flavors.
Speaker 1 00:08:56 There we go. Yup.
Speaker 2 00:08:57 Flavors got some. We did do marble slab last night, which was fantastic.
Speaker 1 00:09:02 Is there a marble slab downtown? No, no. You have to cross the bridge. Yeah, it was worth it. Okay. All right. I don't mess with ice cream. Why not used to be my favorite thing? Then I became an old man and then it starts like affecting my stomach. There's certain things. Just, just not worth it anymore. So I got a question.
Speaker 2 00:09:20 Uh, my auntie just a dairy queen. Poutine is the best in Edmonton. What's the best poutine you've had in Edmonton.
Speaker 1 00:09:26 There's a dairy queen has poutine apparently. Well, Hey listen. That's Epic. But speaking of poutine, somebody is coming to drop off coupons for us. We, uh, next week are going to be eating poutine at four different restaurants to have or different what restaurants, I don't know yet. We'll find out the tickets. Come on Wednesday. I guess it's poutine week or poutine awareness week with big brothers and sisters. They've asked some, uh, local celebrities. And I guess we qualify now to pump this up. And so they're bringing us some, uh, coupons for us to indulge in poutine. I got a rough job. I know it's
Speaker 2 00:09:59 Tough. You gonna make me four separate poutine.
Speaker 1 00:10:02 Um, so I'm going to have to do a lot more running and push-ups
Speaker 2 00:10:05 That's for sure. Hey, it's not me this time,
Speaker 1 00:10:08 But to answer your, uh, auntie's question and Edmonton, where's the best poutine I'm going to go with this unbelievable restaurant. And I think they have the best. Everything in Edmonton almost is next act. If you've never been to next act, it's next door to meet, which is another banger of a restaurant in Edmonton, Edmonton, just right off white Avenue, next act and meat. But yeah, the poutine there. Everything's good at next act. So that's my answer. I haven't been, but we'll have to try it. Oh dude, next time we're in Edmonton. Like if you were in Edmonton, you have to go to meet period. And then after you go to meet the following day, you can go to next act and then dependent on how long you're in Edmonton. You don't have to go to any other restaurants. You just stick to those two. Have you been to Vaughn's? I don't. Yeah. The steakhouse, right? Yeah. I've been to Vaughn's vault. Have you had the <inaudible>? I have not had the Wagyu at Vaughn's. No good.
Speaker 2 00:11:10 Me and my friend made a trip to Edmonton just to have that steak and it was phenomenal. Okay. It is Wagyu is the best steak I've ever had in my life. I've had it twice and I live for it. If it's on the menu, it is what I'm ordering
Speaker 1 00:11:28 Once it was good. It was extremely good. However, if you have an opportunity to go to meet or next act, I'm telling you whatever you order is going to Trump that Wagyu, I don't know that good. We'll find out. We'll do an episode down to, they have Wagyu down there. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no. So I guess we're not even, we're not, that's not even a fair con a conspiracy or you can't compare the two. No, cause you're talking Wagyu and like burgers and Mac and cheese and wings and donors and meat is like all barbecue. You go in there and it's just meat, brisket, Vons. Do that sausage
Speaker 2 00:12:03 Lawns. Didn't Vaughn's was fancy. They didn't have donators and stuff. It was a steak house. Yeah. Just straight up steak house. That's right. Yeah. We had a, we had it with lobster and Mac and cheese there and it was, it was like $70 surf and turf. Yeah. For the plate. And it was fantastic, but it wasn't surfing turf. It was like an optional side you could get, right? Yeah. And you've obviously got it. Yeah. It was like, it was like an extra $3 for a lobster tail. That's a no brainer. I mean,
Speaker 1 00:12:30 When you say a Wagyu, you know what it reminds me of, there's a movie called the gentlemen, a guy Ritchie movie. Have you seen that movie? What? Nope. Ooh, listen, this is a brand new, well, it's not brand new. It's about a year and a half, two years old. Now the gentlemen guy, Richie, it's a banger of a movie. It's got Matt McConaughey in it. Which I first, I wasn't sure how that was going to all work out. I love guy Richie as a director. I love Matt McConaughey has an actor me. And like, obviously we got the green-light book. We spoke about Matt McConaughey, but I didn't know if, uh, Matt would fit into a guy Ritchie movie and he nailed it. And I'm comfortable to say, the gentlemen is now one of my favorite movies. I have I've I've watched this movie at least nine times. I drive everybody nuts because I'm like, Hey, you want to watch a movie? They're like, if you say the gentlemen one more time. I'm like, is that good of a movie? I can't stop watching it.
Speaker 2 00:13:27 What is one movie you think everyone should watch? Is it that the gentlemen a hundred percent. Why?
Speaker 1 00:13:32 Oh, it's just guy Ritchie at his finest. The guy Ritchie fan. Oh yeah. Lock stock. Two smoking barrels. Snatch. What else you got? You got Aladdin. You got King. Arthur. I could go on and on about guy Richie. He is just amazing. But this movie that he's put together, I think is the best movie he's ever released.
Speaker 2 00:13:54 See, I'm a big fan of like mind bending movies.
Speaker 1 00:13:58 Like what are we talking about?
Speaker 2 00:13:59 Like a butterfly effect or, or fight club or inception was a good one. Eternal. What is that? Internal sunshine of a thoughtless mind with um, Jim Carey, Jim Carrey. Like anything, any movie that makes you like at the very end, just be like, what did I just watch? I need to see that again. Right?
Speaker 1 00:14:16 Right. You just threw down some bangers of movies. That one with Ashton Kutcher, the butterfly effect. Ooh, that's a game changer of a movie.
Speaker 2 00:14:26 I like any movie where you watch it. And for like 90% of the movie you go, this is the stupidest thing I've ever watched. And then the last 10 minutes, just make it the greatest movie you've ever seen. It's like fight club is I don't want to spoil it. Even though it's like forever, but movies here, man. But like fight club. The ending to that movie was just like, when, when it, when it all tied together, it was just like, Oh my God, this movie that I've been all makes sense. It's not just some stupid nonsense. Right?
Speaker 1 00:14:54 Well, if you like movies like that, I get, I've got a lot of heat over this one. Have you seen Quintin? Taro Terentino's last movie, which was a F it was almost war on air. Um, it's a, it's a long one. Something in Hollywood. I forgot what the whole title is. Like one once upon a time in Hollywood, I have not seen that. Oh dude, it is spec tack Cuellar. Like when you're watching this movie, it's like a slow movie and you don't understand why you're seeing what you're seeing. It's enjoyable, but you're like, it there's a lot going on here. And some of it's like super random, but like it's so it's similar. Cinematography is beautiful. The actors are phenomenal. And then I kid you not the last 10 minutes of this movie, everything just like that, you don't even think would come in at the end and play comes into play. It is hands down the best 10 minutes in movie history.
Speaker 2 00:15:59 Yeah. You're getting everybody. Everybody is commenting that it was a good movie, wild movie.
Speaker 1 00:16:04 And the last 10 minutes, like, I don't say that lightly now for anybody who knows me, I digest a lot of content when it comes to movies and television. And I'm telling you, it is the best, last 10 minutes of any movie out there. Period. PG rated. Oh no. I don't think the movie is PG. I think it's rated R and I am. The ending is it's a Quentin Tarantino movie, man. That there is nothing PG about this gentlemen
Speaker 2 00:16:32 Last, uh, your sister said everybody should watch hitch.
Speaker 1 00:16:35 Oh, hitch, listen, this is will Smith. We can listen. Will Smith better? Uh, give us a shout out. We talk about will Smith almost weekly at this point daily. Yeah. Will Smith is a great actor. Great movie. Great rapper. Like willsmith kills it so motivational, but here listen, hitches a great movie. And I think everybody at home has already heard about hitch has already seen hitch. There is a will Smith movie that I don't think gets enough shine on. And it's called focus.
Speaker 2 00:17:05 Haven't seen it. Oh
Speaker 1 00:17:06 Dude. We need to like, we got a, we got a green room upstairs with the TV. I'll bring in some movies for ya. We'll hit focus with will Smith. Great movie. He's got Margot Robbie in it with him. I in who isn't him, but him and Margot. Robbie and in focus,
Speaker 2 00:17:24 He's actually a phenomenal actor though.
Speaker 1 00:17:26 Phenomenal. Think about the movies. His lady's been in wall street. Yeah. She was in that Tonya Harding movie. She was in suicide squad. She did a movie with will Smith. She did it. That's a movie, two movies, suicide squad and focused. Yeah. And once upon a time in Hollywood Quintin Tarantino movie that we just talked about. She's in that as well.
Speaker 2 00:17:45 Your sister says that's not her cup of tea. I know Alicia, listen. There's
Speaker 1 00:17:51 I love my sister. I love my sister. However, when it comes to movies, she doesn't have the best taste of movie. So anybody watching at home militia thrown some, some hate on certain movies. I'm saying, I'm saying some of the militias movie choices are suspect to say the least
Speaker 2 00:18:10 Alicia, what's your go-to movie. Then let's just go to movie. I'll tell you right now. Tell me
Speaker 1 00:18:16 Drum line. Now drum is a good movie. Drum line is a great movie. However, a lot of the other movies, Alicia watches are on the same level of drum line, but like way, way, way worse. But I'm not distant drum line. It's a great movie. That is her go-to jam. I'm just saying some of the other movies. She watches pretty suspect. Like what? Like I can't get into some of the suspect choices, but basically I can't say it. I can't say what the suspect choices are. I'll offend some individuals. Maybe you like these movies too. I try to keep this show positive, but yeah, Alicia, she doesn't always throw down bangers for movies.
Speaker 2 00:18:58 Maybe not your definition of bangers
Speaker 1 00:19:01 Or the critics or the box office.
Speaker 2 00:19:04 Hey man, critic critics are not always right about movies. Did you watch choppy? Choppy, choppy. Choppy is a movie about like this like police robot who develops feelings over time. And it, it got bombed in the like by critics in the box office. But if you watch that movie good movie. Yeah, it is. Heart-wrenching like, it's an emotional development of a character. Who's not supposed to have emotion. So it is fantastic. And it got, it got ripped by critics and it was fantastic.
Speaker 1 00:19:36 Well, I agree with you sometimes. Well, not sometimes a lot of the times credit card get they get it wrong. But when it comes to Alicia, the type of movie
Speaker 2 00:19:43 Shot this critic, not yeah. Alicia,
Speaker 1 00:19:47 Her movies that she chooses the critics say, they're horrible. The fan say it's horrible. The box office as it's horrible. And a lot of the times so that, so do the movie theaters because they don't even make it. They go straight to VHS.
Speaker 2 00:20:01 She liked those like purposely bad movies. Yeah. Like, like that was a very famous, purposely bad movie where like the audio doesn't line up when he's talking.
Speaker 1 00:20:09 Oh, that's funny. That's every, uh, Kung Fu film. But yeah, Alicia, she does it. And the thing with her is she doesn't watch it. Cause it's ironic. She just is like, thinks it's great. It's like, Alicia, you got, you got some issues. But when it comes to will Smith, she loves always will Smith movies. And to give my sister the benefit of the doubt, like myself, she does watch a lot of movies. It's just her go-to jams are usually pretty horrible.
Speaker 2 00:20:34 Maybe she needs to get on here and defend your movie choices.
Speaker 1 00:20:37 Listen, one of these days we, we should get her on here. So Alicia's good times.
Speaker 2 00:20:42 Yes. I would say, I'm trying to find this movie here. What, what movie you're trying to find? Um, it was, uh, I think there was a biopic done about him and he just know the guy who did that really bad movie that I'm trying to find. I went and seen a, um, like a thing about intentionally bad movies and how they're fantastic.
Speaker 1 00:21:02 Sometimes intentionally bad movies are fantastic, but like shark NATO, I've never seen a shark NATO, but I hear it's quite interesting. And it's like a cult classic, but I've never seen a single shark NATO actually.
Speaker 2 00:21:14 Yeah, it is. They are terrible and worth every minute of watching.
Speaker 1 00:21:18 Yeah. There are certain bad movies, especially like some movies just do not hold up to the test of time. Um,
Speaker 2 00:21:25 Going back and watching, um, wizard of Oz.
Speaker 1 00:21:29 Yeah. Or like my little guy he's obsessed with star Wars and he's way too young to watch the first star Wars because it's long, slow and boring for somebody of his generation. For me, it's the best thing it's better than peanut butter star Wars is like, but I recognize that like when I came out or when those movies came out and I first watched them, that was ahead of its time. As far as like the technology on how you make a film right now, nowadays that's pretty ghetto. But for me, you can't beat star Wars. So at the time I think Egan was like four or five trying to sit through the first star Wars. And he's like, this is brutal. I'm like, yeah, you're too young for it. I get it.
Speaker 2 00:22:14 Yeah. It, it looks like a toy Dom around dire Emma, if you watch it now and it created a craze when it came out. Okay.
Speaker 1 00:22:20 That's right. Oh yeah. Star Wars game over game over.
Speaker 2 00:22:23 Even, even the round two when they did the prequels in the nineties was apparently like,
Speaker 1 00:22:28 Oh dude, I used to line up. Like I lined up at the that's how old I am. I used to line them at the theaters for like Fort theater in Fort McMurray for all the old schoolers here. Like the original theater. I'm not talking about the one that just got shut down and I'm definitely not talking about the one in Timberly Fort theater lined up skipped school to see it actually. Sorry, mom and dad
Speaker 2 00:22:49 That's a, that movie I was talking about was called the room. It had a, it was, it had bio picked from the disaster artist.
Speaker 1 00:22:57 Who's in the room. Some, any anybody famous?
Speaker 2 00:23:00 Uh, no, but like, well he became famous afterwards because like the acting in the movie was so incredibly bad. Like it was an English movie in English and his audio didn't line up with the way his mouth. But in that movie was an actor and his name on IMD B is, uh, Tommy. We w with SU w I S E a U and, and like at one like raspberry awards for being so bad, but it basically made that guy cult famous.
Speaker 1 00:23:35 Listen, you and me have messed up on the audio on this show with my lips. Not lying now. Maybe we'll get fame.
Speaker 2 00:23:39 Yeah. Maybe, uh, maybe our biopic will be, uh, active and we can have the Franco brothers play us. Here we go. You gotta be pretty famous. If you get a biopic with the Franco brothers playing you. That is true.
Speaker 1 00:23:50 That is true. Yeah. No, I can, I can watch that movie.
Speaker 2 00:23:53 Yeah, it was good.
Speaker 1 00:23:55 Yeah. I love, I love movies. I love, I love TV. I just, I, this is why kind of this, like, I just love anything with a camera. I just think it's so cool. So yeah, the amount of movies I watch, the amount of television I watch YouTube. I'm just, I digest so much content, but Hey, there's nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 2 00:24:18 You're doing research.
Speaker 1 00:24:20 I'm doing research. That's what my accountant tells me as well. Yeah. But if I'm not watching television, I like audio books on my phone plug in. I got audible and I just listened to bookstore stop. But yeah. I just like, I like being stimulated by like content.
Speaker 2 00:24:35 Yeah. Yes. Don't we all, this is what that show's about.
Speaker 1 00:24:39 That's it? So, uh, I don't know where we are in the time. 24 minutes, 24 minutes. 24 minutes. So we're done. We've been done. Oh man. I was just going to get into a brand new topic of conversation. I was going to talk about television series, community
Speaker 2 00:24:57 Community. Yes. Community is my all time. Favorite TV series. Dan Harmon, the guy who does Rick and Morty for anybody who watches did six. Right? He did. He did five of the six C uh, seasons of community. And it is one of the best shows to watch. If you're a person who likes continuity, like I love continuity within my TV shows and the writing. And it is hilarious. The callbacks in it are hilarious. The storylines in it are hilarious. It's just one of my favorite shows.
Speaker 1 00:25:28 Okay. I'm going to throw down like an, I can't call this a favorite show because I have so many shows that are just Epic. But if you're out there watching this right now, Peaky blinders, if you're not watching Peaky, blinders, you're doing something wrong with your life. You need to tune in Peaky blinders. I'm going to give an outrageous statement again. I've said this to many friends, many family members, and they're like, Elliot, you're hyping it up too much. Don't hype it up so much. And then they see it and they're like, wow, you didn't hype it up enough. Peaky blinders seasoned to the last 10 minutes of that season finale. Best 10 minutes of TV history. Boom, Mike drop.
Speaker 2 00:26:13 We got some comments saying things like a Superstore or Ozark. Oh,
Speaker 1 00:26:19 Ozark is good. I haven't seen Superstore comedy. Yeah. I've heard about it. I haven't seen it. No, I don't know. It was, it was on NBC for a while and then it like went on and I think it just went to Hulu or something I haven't seen, but Ozarks is good. Those arcs is good. Very good. I like Jason Bateman in that role. It's very, it's a huge departure from what he normally plays. Good. Good show. Love
Speaker 2 00:26:44 Him in a arrested development though.
Speaker 1 00:26:46 Oh, you know what I used to, I remember him from, I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure and correct me if I'm wrong, but he played teen Wolf. I think that's how I first was introduced to him in like teen Wolf to Jason Bateman. Yeah. Like I could be wrong on this, but I don't think I am when I was a young, young child. I'm pretty sure that's uh, that was my first interaction with Mr. Bateman.
Speaker 2 00:27:12 I'm going to look up his, uh, movies and I'll tell you. Okay. The second one you said,
Speaker 1 00:27:17 I think so it definitely, I think Michael J. Fox played teen Wolf in the first one. I'm 99% positive. Michael J. Fox played the first teen Wolf, but I think he was the second
Speaker 2 00:27:27 One. He is in a lot of movies. Oh,
Speaker 1 00:27:29 He's had a great career. You know, who's also had a great career. Another film for those people out there. Great buddy comedy, two guns with Marky, Mark and Denzel
Speaker 2 00:27:41 Wolf two was actually Jason Bateman's film debut.
Speaker 1 00:27:45 There we go. Jason bait me giving you a shout out. That's how I first saw you. I was like eight or something like that.
Speaker 2 00:27:51 And it's a teen Wolf too. T O O
Speaker 1 00:27:55 Oh, there we go. They're getting creative with the wording there. I like that. I got nothing but respect for that.
Speaker 2 00:28:01 I, uh, I just think if they put teen Wolf also, it wouldn't have sold as well.
Speaker 1 00:28:05 No, no. Well, I don't know if it's sold that well, but I know as a young kid getting a VHS, that's how I saw it. Yup. So, all right, listen, this is great for the people at home. This is what me and Tanner do all the time. We could keep this camera running for hours, but that's not what the Mac CD morning show is all about. We try to keep it to 20 minutes.
