Speaker 0 00:00:01 Good morning, Fort McMurry, wood, Buffalo, and the rest of the world. You've tuned in to the Mac city morning show. I'm your host, Elliot Pierre. And we're going to start the show off the same way we start every episode off with a moment of gratitude. I know you could be doing a million other things with your time. So the fact that you spend it with us truly does mean the world to me. So thank you on that note, Tanner hit him with the intro. Speaker 1 00:00:21 Oh, she caught me, loves near listen to the next every morning shower. Speaker 0 00:00:31 All right. And we're back. Today's a special episode because it's the weekend. We normally don't put episodes out on the weekend, but we have a very, very special guest back again. So as you guys know, I don't introduce my guests. They can do that better than themselves. So on that note, sir, can you please re-introduce yourself to the people at home? Speaker 3 00:00:48 Oh, this is Santa Claus again for me. Very tired, but happy Santa's Speaker 0 00:00:54 Boxing day. That was the busiest day of the year for you. That just passed. Tell us about it, please. Santa. You must be just run off your feet. Exhausted. Speaker 3 00:01:04 Technically today is actually one of the full days that we have off. Okay. Right. Cause like you said, last night or Christmas Eve was just phenomenal. Right? We're like we get real crazy to the point just before it starts turning dark and we're loading the sleigh. Are we going to make it right? Are we going to get it all done? Yeah. But boy, by the time the sun comes up in the morning, the elves look in the back and there's not nothing left. Yeah. Everything is done. Of course I'm a little tired and sore of the reindeers. But in between there we take little breaks and of course all those homemade cookies, do you help out a little and the carrots cause those reindeers they need, they need those carrots. But a little problem this year with the carriage, they left them inside on the dining room table. Oh. And one of the reindeers got out of the harness and came down. So that house on Pollard street, I'm apologized for the mess, but Santa will make up for it next year. The reindeer did not mean to get into the house. Speaker 0 00:02:07 There you go. So did you get a lot of good cookies this year? Speaker 3 00:02:11 Oh yeah. I've got that many that I actually brought some back. Cause I was at one house. They had four or five cookies there. Right. He said bring these to the yells. Somebody else got extra cookies too. I've got my stomach full. Speaker 0 00:02:24 So when you go back to the north pole, after you finished with us today, is, are the elders just exhausted? Tired? Is there a party going on? What's the vibe like in a north pole after such an epic event? Well, Speaker 3 00:02:37 Well, I get a lot of things when you have a great big organization is that we all sit back and we relax and we write down what good things we did. Right. And it, Hey, how can we do it better next year? And of course, how do we do it better next year? It seems to be a very small list because all the kids, I'm pretty sure from most of I heard Christmas morning. Yeah. Because we can hear all those voices when they open up that president and their eyes are just, and you hear them screaming. That's right. We can hear that all the way to the north poles. We figured we'd doing a pretty good job, but yeah. We're laid back having some cookies. Mrs. Claus has got lunch out and we're resting up to get ready again. Speaker 0 00:03:20 That's right. Cause it's gotta be a full year to get everything prepared and ready. Speaker 3 00:03:24 Oh yeah. So we're starting out. Okay. So a lot of the kids, we seen what we bought them this year and we're looking at new things that we can come out with that they light add on to the different things. Like the pop it and the RC cars. See if we can make them a little more flashy or for the kids. Cause they really Speaker 0 00:03:42 Nice. Yeah. Some of the oil, sand executives should come and hang out at the north pole. Look at how you guys manage quality control. How you guys, the process. I think that could help them out a little bit. Speaker 3 00:03:53 Oh definitely. I definitely think. And you know what? They're always welcome. And a lot of them down here in Fort McMurray, they also help out Santa by doing a lot of the great things they do with United way and a health foundation. Yeah. So they're learning, they're getting better. They're Annika probably fine tune some tricks for them. Especially a couple of my chief ELFS. I could send them down for a couple of weeks and maybe put off a couple of courses for them. Speaker 0 00:04:22 Yo Tanner. I see. You wanted to chime in there for a second. Good. Okay. Tanner is just so excited to have Santa. He is a kid at heart, just like myself who doesn't love Santa. I'm saying Speaker 3 00:04:35 The Grinch did at one time. Okay. But that was just because he didn't feel like he was part of the group. Right? It wasn't because he hated Santa. He just didn't feel like he was part of the group. And then once he realized that it was him keeping him from the group, not the group, keeping him away. That's right. Then he felt like, wow, this is a great place. Speaker 0 00:04:57 That's right. That's right. So now you're, you're going to go back. You got to start right away. What the sand to do with his downtime, where like you got to take a little bit of a break here. You, Speaker 3 00:05:10 Well, yeah. We're not, we're not working the long hours now. We're not we're we're going into the shop and we're tidy in up and we're still having fun. Like you gotta remember, we have to play these games that we're bringing to the, oh, I did not know that. Oh he is. So he is come January, February. We're taking all these new toys that are going to be coming out and we're playing with Nerf guns. It gets to be a lot of fun. Well, Speaker 0 00:05:38 When you do what you love, you don't work a day. Speaker 3 00:05:40 Well, this is it. Great. So playing and testing the toys. Cause we've got to make sure they last that's right. And I'll tell you having a few million elves running around with Nerf guns. They'll last. If not the Speaker 0 00:05:52 Going into the trash. That's right. So a food based question. Cause we love to ask food-based questions here on the Mac city morning show. So obviously cookies and milk. That's your go-to jam when you're delivering all these toys. What other food do you like to eat while you're up at the north pole? Outside of during the Christmas season? Well, Speaker 3 00:06:10 We have like, there's so many of us up there, right? There's me and Mrs. Claus and Mrs. Claus does a lot of great cooking for Santa. Right? Right. Cause we got our little place and Mrs. Claus cooks up some nice meals and vegetables and beef and chicken and stuff like that. Tenders, all the elves. I mean, we have a, a camp and like they have at every one of them, they all have different diets that they like. So there's pretty well, not any type of food that we don't eat up there in some people, they just liked the vegetables. Right. And, and in some people they like a different style diets. And then of course we make plans and arrangements around all of them. Okay. Speaker 0 00:06:54 Okay. Now we've heard about the, uh, reindeer and their reindeer games. Speaker 3 00:07:01 Ooh. They have some fun with them. Speaker 0 00:07:05 Now I have to imagine as Santa's the one who has to get all the reindeer ready you're scouting and seeing how everybody's doing their training. You're watching them play their game. Speaker 3 00:07:15 Yes. Because some of you in Fort McMurray have gotten my rain gear cards. Yes, that's right. And if you look in some of the stories on those reindeer cards, there's one year. Cause we are watching what I mean. They have to do their routines. Right. I mean they have work to do to write and still have fun at the same time because you have to have fun to do this. Right. Well, one year two of my Rangers and those that got the card can answer the names of those didn't make the list. Oh no. They were actually too slow on display at, during trials because it's almost like an Olympic stare. So you have to remember Santa has a lot of reindeers, not just those on the song. That's right, right. So yo and then Rudolph has baby Rudolph and name. Once Rudolph gets older, then he wants to take ad spot that's right spot. Speaker 3 00:08:10 So you have to always be working out Anders. Ralph is one of the other reindeers to have wasn't normally on my sleigh, but he replaced one of the, one of the famous reindeers, um, one Christmas, because the other one kind of took it back figure. Well, he was the main character. There was no way he could not, not be on his lake. But Hey, when the Alpha's just doing the rounds and doing the stopwatch on him, he didn't make the time we need to, we couldn't take the risk of not having everybody's Christmas gifts. Okay. So they learned their lesson so far in the last 84 years, they've been keeping their places and their family tradition. There Speaker 0 00:08:55 You go. So the competition is real. Oh it is Speaker 3 00:08:58 Okay. But we still have fun with Speaker 0 00:09:00 Always. So you just said something. You talking about minutes, you're talking about time. You were just here a few days ago. So you know all about a segment we have here called the Mac city minute town. Just going to ask you some questions as per usual. I don't know what he's going to ask you. So Tanner hit him with the maxi minute. Speaker 4 00:09:16 Alrighty. Question. Number one for you. What was your favorite place you got to travel to last night? Speaker 3 00:09:23 Oh, let's see. Now that one's going to be a hard one. Cause there were so many free places. I think Don Voyagers was the nicest place that I visited last night. He had his place lit rate off in Fort chip. Speaker 4 00:09:42 Question number two. What is one way you reward the Ellis for another successful season? Speaker 3 00:09:50 Well, Hmm, that's a good one. What do we normally do with the ELLs? Speaker 4 00:09:58 I've even stumped Speaker 3 00:09:59 Santa. I think he's. I got to really have to talk to Mrs. Claus on that one because she's the main leader of the elves, but I'm sure there is some kind of trophy awards for the best department. There you go. Speaker 4 00:10:13 Question number three. How does the north pole keep up with the latest trends? Speaker 3 00:10:19 Well, so we get a lot of, how would you say spy? Elves going out like some elves are in the trees and they haven't during Christmas and they get put away like jingles and Bojangles and a whole bunch of the Elvis on the shelf. So they kind of sneak around and send me messages. What they're looking at. Speaker 4 00:10:41 Question number four for you today. What is your favorite thing that you got for Christmas this year? Speaker 3 00:10:50 Well, I think it's the new bills Mrs. Claus put on my belt because they're so antique and they really have a sharp ring to them and it really likes. Speaker 4 00:11:01 And your final question, what is the first thing you're going to do when you get back to the north pole? Speaker 3 00:11:08 Well, I already had my relaxing hot chocolate cause I had that traditionally every Christmas morning tonight when I go back. Well I think Sandra is going to have a little bit of a, Speaker 4 00:11:21 There you go. And those have been your five questions. Speaker 0 00:11:24 Well Santa, thank you so much for coming on the show again. Really appreciate it. It's been an honor. It's been a childhood dream to actually have you come on and meet you in person for like a longer standing amount of time. Other from when I used to sit on your lap and try to bust you when he came to my house. So I was always unsuccessful. So you coming on the show means the world to me. So thank you so much. Speaker 3 00:11:46 Not a problem. Thanks for having me. Yeah. You're Speaker 0 00:11:49 More than welcome now. Like you got a few day or yesterday you got shameless shout out or plug. So let's hear what you got for your shame. Shout out to plug today. Speaker 3 00:11:57 Well, I have to put out a nice big show to, to the yam and farmer's market because this year they had a separate room done out for Santa so he can get some pictures taken with some kids and follow the rules that we're supposed to. So it was really nice for the Y M M farmer's market to have Santee. And for a couple of days, Speaker 0 00:12:18 We go, well, Santa, thank you very much for coming on the show. Do appreciate it. Anytime you want to come back. Me and Tanner have been good boys. So you're more than welcome to come back. All right. Murray, wood, Buffalo, and the rest of the world. That's been another episode of the Mac city morning show. Hopefully you've been having a great holiday weekend and you're having a great day to day cause it's boxing day. So yeah, other from that we'll see you tomorrow. Peace Speaker 5 00:12:46 Just dies that this is another Mack city warning shoulder. Speaker 6 00:13:03 Yeah. Talk about quenching your ugly thirst.
