Speaker 0 00:00:00 For some reason, I thought you were from Halifax.
Speaker 1 00:00:02 No, uh, originally from Cape Breton, a little tall town called Inverness, and then, uh, did my undergrad degree at St. Francis Xavier university also in Nova Scotia. And then, uh, my master's for physio at Dalhousie in Halifax lived for a couple of years in Holland.
Speaker 0 00:00:22 There you go. So why is Del housey so popular for physical therapists? Like, it seems like that is the pinnacle of schools, I guess people are trying to get into, or w what's what's the deal with Del housey
Speaker 1 00:00:37 Physiotherapy in Canada is the it's, it's a very competitive program to get into, to begin. Um, I think you'd see more, I think it's fair to say. You'd see most east coasters, um, going to Del housey for the physio degree. Right. As, um, other schools in Canada, obviously a lot less seats for like maritime provinces. Right. So, so, yeah. And, uh, I think, well, I know quite a few physios out here in Fort McMurray that are originally from the east coast and graduated from Del housey. So, uh, yeah. Uh, it's something about Fort McMurray in Alberta that likes to bring us out here, right?
Speaker 0 00:01:14 Yeah. We have a big east coast following here in Mac. There's no doubt about that. Bumped into each other many times over the years, but we've never had a chance to actually sit down and chat and that's becoming a reoccurring theme in my life. I know a lot of people, but we don't get a chat that often. So I'm looking forward to this one, for sure. Now, as per usual, I do not introduce my guests because they can do a better job at that than I, so on that note, sir, can you please introduce yourself and tell people who you are and what you're about?
Speaker 1 00:01:40 Um, Jeremy here from 57 north brewing, um, one of the brewers here at 57 north as well, um, as well as one of the operating partners.
Speaker 0 00:01:48 Nice. So this is a, I don't want to say it's a newer restaurant in Fort McMurray where, when you say health and wellness, you are linked up with a beach body workouts. So let's talk a little bit about beach body because I, back in the day, I'm talking two years ago, went and I did the P90X program. I bought the DVDs, I did it. And it was the truth. If you do the work, you will look like how they say you will look at the end, but to say, it's work is an understatement. Like you gotta, you gotta put in the time. So let's see here. Like I only know about the P90X component, obviously there's so many other things for the body.
Speaker 2 00:02:24 Absolutely. And like you said, all you got to do is do the work. If you do the work, the results will come. But with beach body, um, we have the online, the online, um, workouts, but we also have meal plans, super foods, supplements that go hand in hand with each and every program that you do, meal plans, specific supplements specific to each and every.
Speaker 0 00:02:51 Okay. Now how did you get involved in this? You got to get out and socialize and not trade adult time. Yeah. So now said you worked for a brokerage called
Speaker 3 00:03:01 Exp Realty. So it's, it's somewhat new, newer here. Um, our brokers are based out of like Calgary and Edmonton. Um, and it's basically all virtual. Um, so we have this exp world, so it's kind of like roadblocks for adult. You go in, you have live meetings, you have an avatar, you can walk around, meet new people. Um, the good thing about it is just connecting with other realtors, not just Alberta wide, but pro um, province-wide and Canadian wide too. Right. So you get to have that connection with other realtors in every other province. So it's very interesting. It's fairly like I'm still kind of learning the ropes. There's a lot of info to learn about it. So it can be a little overwhelming at first, but I've, since I've done the switch, I've been extremely busy with it and, you know, I think it's the best move for me. Um, and like, it gives you the option. Like you can, um, buy into stock too. So I kind of want to set myself up and my kids for future had that retirement. Yeah.
Speaker 0 00:04:07 As you know, at home already, I do not introduce my guests. I let them do it themselves because they can do a better job. So on that note, can you please introduce yourself? Who are you, what you're about? And then we can get going.
Speaker 4 00:04:19 So I'm Andrea Haley and I'm, I'm a proud team member of the Fort McMurray with Buffalo economic development and to,
Speaker 0 00:04:28 Okay. Very cool. So that's what this shirt represents them. So really cool.
Speaker 5 00:04:35 I just dies that desk. Another Mac city morning show, Don,
Speaker 6 00:04:52 Talk about quenching your ugly thirsty.
